ooh, really good movie I watched recently: Candy, (and another one here) starring Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish, and with the impossibly beautiful intro song Song to the Siren. I know it's a Tim Buckley song, but I do like this version, and the David Gray version too, of course.

Well, the exciting and terrifying job application process has begun. exciting because I can't wait to be in New Zealand and living close to the people so important to me. If living in Korea has taught me anything, it's that I really miss being close to my friends and family.
but terrifying because the reality is that I am competing in a small job market against people younger and better qualified than I am, and all I have to show is my "life experience". sigh. anyway, I just applied for two government jobs, what an exhausting process. keep your fingers crossed for me please.
