Hello! Today is Sunday, and I have been having a wonderfully relaxing and faux-domestic day. Nina and I were supposed to be catching up today, but she's got the flu. =(
So instead I cleaned and did dishes and even baked a banana cake! That's misleading though...... The banana cake mixture is currently in the rice cooker (no oven --> improvisation). Monica has had success with this, but I am worried. Most rice cookers have one button so they're pretty easy. Mine has 5. And they're all in Korean. Most rice-cookers are ONLY rice cookers. Mine is also a pressure cooker. So it could be messy.
... And then I went to Walmart and did more grocery shopping. Chuseok ( big Korean holiday) is around the corner (China trip!!!), so all the shop assistants were dressed up in national costume, all promoting Chuseok hampers: hampers of Spam, hampers of cleaning products, hampers of shampoo, and...... hampers of dried fish! Imagine receiving one of these and trying to conceal your horror/disappointment.
What did you think of that dental work advertisement? I giggle every time I see it.
