This week is the last teaching week of my first semester as a nursing student. How did the time pass so quickly? It has been a big eleven weeks. Short summary: this semester has been inspiring, hectic, scary,
and exciting, and I think I am now better at time-management than before. I've started studying, moved house, found and started two part-time jobs, been to see three concerts, slogged through five assignments, gone house-sitting twice, and found all the good places to study in the library. I do love a good library.
Clinical is only a week and a half away. It's our first foray into the health care system. We are what Nic affectionately calls 'baby-nurses'. I am terrified and excited. It's good to finally have figured out what I want to do with my life and to be doing it, but I do sometimes have a moment of freaking out.
While it would be very easy to use this blog as a tool of
procrastination from study ... (oh so very tempting), I will update
this as soon as exams and clinical are over. That is of course assuming
that someone somewhere is still reading this. Don't give up on me, I
will be back in mid-June!
