On the way to drop off a small pressie for my friend Madeline's new baby (how strange to now be at the age when my friends are reproducing!), I stumbled across Crystal Street's cool food experiment, Food for Everyone. The verges on both sides of the road have been converted into gardens beds, and the fruit, veg and herbs grown there are free! If I had a house of my own, I'd definitely do this.
Nursing school starts on Tuesday. I have a pile of scary-looking textbooks (all second-hand), a fob watch that Nic got me for my birthday, and a surprising small bundle of nerves. My last day of work was on Friday although it hasn't really sunk in yet. I don't think it will until I don't have to catch the over-the-bridge train. While I'll miss my pay-check, I won't miss the frustration that place caused. It's taught me that I really can't abide inefficiency.
Over and out.
