I saw Anika Moa live last night, it was fantastic. Small stage, intimate venue, I sat a metre away from the stage and it felt like she was singing to me!
it was like we were all just hanging out the band. Julia Deans from Furpatrol was the supporting act - also great. Both Julia and Anika told stories in between their songs, commented on the crowd, and generally seemed to have a blast. Earlier on in the evening, someone stood on my foot: it was Anika! ha-ha! I didn't even realise it was her, Yasmin had to tell me! oops.
