it's the final countdown!

Last week of teaching!!! This morning I walked into my writing class to find a total of 2 students! Only 2! The other 13 trickled in slowly, all looking like it was the most difficult task in the world to wake up for a Monday morning class. I dislike teaching writing class because there is so much 'quiet' time while the students are busy writing, and I feel useless. Korean students are also very hesitant to ask questions. For the duration of their school years, they are lectured by teachers, and have almost no teacher-student interaction. Asking the teacher questions is seen as rude. So it's very difficult to break these study habits and to encourage students to ask questions. I hate silent classrooms!
