Surprise!!

I changed the format of my blog again. Why? I was bored, and I had been thinking of the idea of having a strip of photos at the top for a while, so I finally changed it. boy, I live an exciting life.

Ruth leaves Korea today after teaching here for 6 years. She doesn't want us to come to the airport with her, so we'll be saying our goodbyes downstairs. It seems a bit strange to leave with such a lack of fanfare, after she's been here for so long. My farewell will be the same, especially since I have to catch the 5.30am bus to get to the airport by 7am!

To the right of all this text are pictures, and one of them is me receiving an elephant kiss! This was taken at the Elephant Nature Foundation, and I just stumbled across a video about the park and Lek's work, very interesting to watch. If you ever visit Thailand, I highly recommend visiting the Elephant Park. It's about an hour or two out of Chiang Mai.

Also, I miss my blender!! I sold it last weekend to a lovely couple who will also buy my oven..., but now I wish I hadn't. How can I make hummus? Or curried carrot spread? Or perfectly blended soups? or weird silken tofu concoctions?
