This whole leaving-a-country-for-good business is rather taxing, but it does allow me to indulge in one of my favourite activities - making lists! I am slowly making my way through my massive To Do list.
* send money home? check!
* close one of my bank accounts? check!
* unsuccessfully ask Singapore Airines for a higher baggage allowance? check!
* gleefully delete the "ESL documents" folder on my computer? check!
* make an information packet complete with pictures of Pippi for the quarantine place, with a pretty "Introducing Pippi" title? check!
The unchecked boxes include: seeing Pippi off *sob*, sending Clyde the foster cat to his new foster parents, cleaning, packing, eating all the food in my fridge and freezer, having goodbye dinners with Jasmin and Jay, Josh and Hyun-Joo, and Allie and Joon, finishing teaching, closing my other bank accounts and cancelling my cell phone contract, and joyfully cleaning out my desk at work. That's if I still have a desk in the office next week. Daisy will probably vindicatively give it to someone else before I'm done.
