mmmm, rainy days. I love being indoors on rainy days, hearing the traffic whizzing past, drinking hot coffee, being glad i'm not outdoors, waiting for yummy roasted chickpeas to come out of the oven.
Sad news: I think the time has come for me and my mp3 player to part ways. This decision has not been an easy one. the reality is that repairing it will cost more than a new one. I love love love my Creative Zen Micro player, look how cute it is. I've had it for over two years, and the headphone jack is now faulty. There is nothing more annoying than sound problems: music fading in out, having to wiggle the headphones until you get good sound, but then you take one step and again can't hear anything.
Anyway, any suggestions? I'm loathe to buy an iPod, just because everyone else has one.
I'm so pleased that it's almost the weekend. I'm having real trouble with one class (actually, all teachers who teach this class say the same thing, so it's not only me). They're all really lazy, no energy, they barely respond to questions. It's awful. ugh. and I teach them for 5 hours a week. that's 5 hours of trying to get a response, and trying to restrain myself from wanting to bop them over the head. I bet if I did, they probably wouldn't even react. And they're darn lazy too. I give them a task to do, check that they understand, and they still sit there doing nothing. For a class that supposedly want to study English, they're pretty hideous.
Staff dinner tonight, at the regular place: galbi, aka vegetarian and & vegan nightmare. Let's spend 2 hours cooking our own meat ! no thanks. And while this dinner is theoretically not compulsory, not going wouldn't bode well for our teaching futures. Daisy already thinks we're all conspiring against her, it's best not to rock the boat.

Hey
I got a Sony after looking at all the different options, and I'm really happy with it. I got it because it plays AAC files and all my music is in that format (because I had an iPod), but it also has good sound quality and comes with seriously the best headphones I have ever used (worth about $100) for free.
Would also suggest Samsung, it was down to those two in the end for me :)
