washing machine mission: successful! my apartment didn't come with one, and even though I could use Tynessa's, that feels like too much of an imposition. so this afternoon I set off in the direction of second-stores that I'd seen when i was taxi-ing to Homeplus, and found myself a second-hand washing machine. yay!

I've been living here at Hankook Uni for nearly 2 weeks, and teaching for one. I have 5 different classes: one listening class, 2 writing classes, and 2 "learn to speak" classes. Listening and writing are easy to teach, as the classes have a textbook that I can teach from. although i do still have to find a lot of supplementary resources. Learn to Speak, however, has NO textbook,, so I have to find all the resources. so I'm spending a lot of time online, downloading things and looking up audio files for use in class. I love my schedule, my Tuesdays are awesome, I only have 2 hours of class and i start at 7.40pm, which allows me to do most of my chores and tasks, and to do cooking. Thursdays and Fridays are busy busy.
and then weekends are COMPLETELY off!! no more working every second Saturday!
my students are lovely, most classes are a mix of elder businessmen and university students. and they're all really keen and work well in class, thank goodness.
