I know its not healthy to hate anyone, but I really really do hate the person who lives on the 4th floor of my building. Why? Because they must have got locked out of their apartment this morning, and so, I was woken up at 3.30am by the sound of drilling. Yes, drilling. They had one of those electronic pin-number door locks, and it looked like a repair man was installing a new one. I eventually stumbled upstairs and gestured wildly at the man, and then went back to TRY and fall asleep. grrrrrrr
does that make sense to anyone? if your lock is broken, sure, get the repair man to open it. but he can fix it DURING THE DAY not at 3.30am!
in other news: i spent lots of time on the phone today to NZ, trying to organise an apostilled copy of my criminal record. So that involved first speaking to the Ministry of Justice to ask for a reprint on coloured paper (black and white paper is not allowed!) and asking them to send it to the Department of Internal Affairs. i then had to ring the DIA and tell them to look out for the letter from the Min of Justice, and organise payment. Do you know its costing me $40 to get my CRC, and another $40 to courier to me here in SK? Damn those new Korean visa rules.
I also have to go and get an AIDS test, because, you know, all us dirty foreigners must surely have AIDS.
