I AM IN SUCH A GOOD MOOD!

* Snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow! It started snowing on my walk home from work, and I let out an unconscious yelp of excitement: "snow!"
Why do so many people have no love for snow? snow is so beautiful! yes, yes, i know it causes traffic jams and blah blah blah, but its so pretty, and its fun to dance around in it!!!!!!!

* my school loves me!!!!! (but not enough to pay me more money) I haven't yet handed in my notice, but my manager sat me down today to tell me that my booking rate has been steadily climbing, and that students are changing their allegiance and booking me. so that's definitely pleasing. My manager (Bo Mi, Korean) also said she knew about my 'concerns', and mentioned 'changes' that will be happening at the school, to improve 'things'. (these 'concerns', 'changes' and 'things' were never actually explained, though). ahh, Korean-style management. say one thing, and mean something different. never be direct, but expect people to understand the undertones of your conversation. gotta love it. anyway, I can't help but be a little cynical about this sudden praise. why? because with new visa rules, it will be hard to hire new teachers when I leave, and because my popularity with students earns more money for them. (them, not me.)
the whole thing was very strange. but very complimentary to me. haha, i look forward to their looks of dismay when i leave, and they realise they lost out on a good thing. take that, you money-grabbing scrooges!
