I have a job interview tomorrow, which may seem a bit premature considering that I'm going to be stuck in this job for a while, but I like being organised! I found out about the job from John who I work with. He rides the bus with a guy from NZ, and John passed his business card on to me.
The interview is at the NZ Centre for Culture and Education, (www.nzc.co.kr, you can click on the button at the top of the page to get the English version). They are the main access point for Koreans who are interested in NZ, and they only hire New Zealanders. I'd be teaching, and also promoting NZ. they also do a lot of stuff with the New Zealand Embassy, which is always a helpful connection!
Same pay, FREE APARTMENT!, and flights hopefully paid for. and, no 5.30AM wake up!
I'm meeting the guy tomorrow, and we'll see ... If they have positions in July '08, and if I like the contract and the conditions, I might work there next year.
I still would like to work at Tynessa's uni, but this job would allow me to save more. Speaking of saving, I paid more money off my loan today! I am sending money home once a month, and then transferring most of it straight onto my student loan, one day after pay day, so that I don't spend more than i need to. I'll probably been living on lentils and rice for the whole month, but then again, thats not really that bad, is it?!

Will the fact that you are South African be held against you?
i don't think so. I don't speak with a South African accent, and I have a NZ passport, so I am a New Zealander ...
