*shock!* I haven't posted for over a week!
Here's whats been happening...
* it's been very cold. Not that thats an excuse for not writing anything, but I'm just letting you know. We have a wee bit of snow yesterday, but not enough to settle. Cold enough so that I don't want to leave my apartment unless I have to.
* its winter vacation at the public schools, so we offer extra morning classes. I'm sharing a presentation class with Helen, there are 4 e6 boys, who actually talk voluntarily in English. Not sure what kind of presentation stuff we're going to do though. perhaps coming up with a concept for a computer game or something. Anyway, the good thing about winter vacation is that our whole timetable shifts forward 3 hours, so we start at 1pm and finish at 7pm, which is way better than the usual 10pm. It's very strange to now have evenings free.
* a few days ago was my 6-month anniversary of arriving in Korea - how weird is that?! and this year is the 10th anniversary of our family moving to New Zealand.
there's not much happening here at all. school is carrying on as per usual, as are my private English lessons, my Korean lessons, and helping at the orphanage. Steven is away for 2 weeks, so I'll be teaching every weekend for a while instead of every second one. Only 4 kids turned up today for a lesson. Nina comes back soon, and she'll be in Seoul this time round, so i will now have a place to stay up in the big smoke. that's good too! So i might head up to Seoul for a weekend sometime in February.
ciao for now,
Ingrid
