more job-hunting fun & games

So today I visited a temp agency, to get work to tide me over until Korea. the recruitment lady was super-friendly, and we got along really well, and I got to sit these computer tests. thank god for being a TS last year, i got 97% in the ms word test, and 80 in the excel test. woohoo! when i told the lady how much i enjoyed doing those tests, she looked me like i was weird.
and then, in the lift on the way down, i was the only person in their so i was admiring myself in the mirrored walls and looking like an dumb-ass, and i didnt realise that the lift doors had opened .... more strange looks.
I'd thought i'd share some of the gems of advice that came in my Enterprise Recruitment Candidate Handbook. These apply to "safety on the workfloor", for those doing industrial factory work.
1) when using ladders: never try to move a ladder while standing on it. <-- is that even possible? how? i am intrigued. and the concerning thing is that they would have put that in as a result of some stupid person doing just that. the mind boggles.

* you must watch Little Britain. Ken introduced it to me, and its been a very happy relationship ever since (btw me and Little Britain). ditto for John Safron's Music Jamboree, and Gray's anatomy. Mmmmm, McDreamy.

* why, why, why would anyone write a song and then give it the classy title of "I'm in love with a stripper"?
