at last: good news!

I got the job!! Not the UNHCR one, but the Medicins Sans Frontiers one! I start tomorrow.
It is hard to be to explain how difficult the past six or so months have been. Sure, I've moved to awesome Sydney, but at the back of mind has always been the thought that I might have to give up my dream of working for an NGO that I am passionate about, that I might have to retrain in an area that I might not like but that would provide steady employment. I'm always conscious of the fact that just about everyone I went to uni with has amazing steady government jobs, and then there's me. Sure, I've traveled a lot of had amazing work experiences in Korea and the Philippines, but when was I going to find that proper job.
But now I have a job with an organisation that I admire and support, so hopefully things will just get better from now on. If you're one of the lovely people that has put up with me when I've been at my lowest and supported me and said nice things to help me feel better, thank you very VERY much.
