my passport arrived in time yesterday, thank god, and I have arrived in Sydney, and the Coldplay concert is just 2 days away! I have to find Ticketek and go pick up my ticket. Nic is at work, so I am just wandering around the city. I was here in July 2007, not sure h0w much I can remember about the city and where things are. I can find my way to the Opera House and the Botanic Gardens, but they're not so much fun when you've seen them already. I was on a vegan shoe hunt, but apparently this is not to be. boo.
My Emirates flight had the coolest/most disturbing feature: a camera that shows you the same view that the pilots have. I was quite freaked out watching it, but I couldn't look away.
I am happy to report that the rats Nic mentioned earlier are no longer in her apartment (so she says! she might just be saying that to placate me), and I have yet to see any cockroaches. Bye for now.

INGRID! If your friends are gorgeous and fabulous enough to have you at their house, you don't TELL THE INTERNETS that they have rats and cockroaches at their house. That is not a super kind way to end your stay. Hands up who wants to come back through Sydney on their return from the Philippines who will find themselves a pretty chilly reception.... Nicx
but you'll be in a nicer apartment then, won't you? Plus, I really really really hate rats and cockroaches.
(sorry)
