drama #1: my purse very mysteriously going missing. Before going to Josh's house for dinner onSaturday, Tynessa and I were shopping in Hyehwa. I bought some jewellery from Accesorize, and then remember putting it back in my handbag (which, might I add, is big, and it's very hard for things to fall out of, and hard to pickpocket from. also, pickpocketing is almost unheard of here). Later, in the cab to Hongdae, i realised my purse was no longer there. Luckily, my credit card lives at home, but it did have some cash, 3 bank cards, and my all important Alien Card, AKA as "the card required for everything in Korea". So i still don't know what happened: did I drop it and not realise, or did someone at Josh's steal it?
So I am now in the process of getting new cards. The banks, lovely logical people that they are, won't issue a new back card without my Alien Card, even though every time I visit the bank, they make a photocopy of my Alien Card, and by now must have about 10 copies of this card. No sirree! Even though I have my passport with me!!!
if there are spelling mistakes in this, i have an excuse: my right hand is all swollen and tender. why?
Drama #2: (admittedly, it's not a very big drama, but when medical-related things happen to me, I always feel that they are VERY IMPORTANT INDEED). today at the cat shelter, I tried to move a cat that had in the past been very quite friendly. This cat was not happy with me today, and attacked my hand quite viciously. I now have several puncture wounds, (8 to be exact) on my right hand. That was this morning. Now it's 10.30pm and I can't bend my fingers or write with my hand. ouchee! if it's still really sore tomorrow, I'll go to the doctor.. Of course, I'll pay expensive rates because my health insurance card was also in my purse. Great!
