I am drinking soju on a Sunday night. Extreme, I know, but it is giving me courage to deal with something very icky. A plastic container with food in it that's been in my fridge for FAR too long, that is now very moldy. If you ever want to really freak me out, show me mold (or spiders, or any insect, or blood, or meat. The list continues to grow as I become more and more paranoid) . Ugh, mould makes me retch and shudder. I've been putting this off for ages, but I've decided that tonight is the night.

I can't wait for winter. Why? Firstly, because I'm sick of being hot and sweaty all the time. Secondly, because of these amazing mittens that Tynessa got me last time she went home. I'd forgotten about them, and then today I was spring-cleaning and found them again, and marveled at their amazingness.

I had a lovely catchup with Amanda on Gmail today, and then a loooooooong talk to Caroline on the phone. I can't wait to see these people in the flesh!

I'm pocketing quite a bit of cash at the moment, completely illegally, of course. First, the story of how these people found me. Husband said to Wife: Go and walk around the campus, until you see a kind-looking white woman, and then ask her to be our teacher.
Wife found Ylva, the Swedish professor who lives on our floor. Ylva then asked Tynessa, who passed it on to me. And so it is that I am now teaching two wee boys, 5 and 7, preparing them for their speech competition next week. They've both memorised 3-page long stories, and I'm helping them with intonation and gestures. It's quite fun!

I'll leave you with one more hilarious picture. It needs no caption.
