not long to go now! to be honest, I keep forgetting that I'm going to Thailand. I haven't even done much planning. I have vague plans, but not much is concrete. week 1: Bangkok and Changmai, week 2 and 3: Khao Lak, and week 4: Pai and some other places and visit Ken in BK. i can see the 4 weeks flying by.
darn it, i keep forgetting that i need to go to Immigration to get a re-entry visa, what a pain. any visit to immigration involves long lines and being sent to various counters, where the people then send you to the counter you were just at, even though they said they couldn't help you. sigh.
I'm still not sure how I'm getting to the airport, i have to be there at 5.50am, but the earlier bus won't get me there in time. and taxiing will cost a fortune. i might get the last bus the night before, and sleep at the airport.

I have somehow found myself in charge of running the August meeting of Amnesty International, since Tom will be away. eek, i hate running meetings! maybe i can find someone to be my co-chair. but thats ages away still, so I shouldnt worry about it.

best news of the week: getting aircon installed! talk about good customer service. I went to the aircon place on Monday evening, and less that 24 hours later, it was installed. cheap too: aircon and installation for about $200. not bad. although i paid for it in stress, those installation men hanging out my 7th floor apartment installing it, I had to look the other way the whole time I was so nervous they were going to fall to their death.

* coldplay album out soon! i think its already out in NZ and US, but Korea's a wee bit behind. I'll go to Hot Tracks next weekend, when I'm backpack shopping. Betsy's hosting a kick-ass vegan BBQ at her amazing apartment next week, should be awesome. although i need to come up with something new to take to the bbq to impress people. i'm sure veganimicon won't let me down.
I made yum yum yummy tomato and roasted eggplant stew with chickpeas earlier this week, it was delicious. See, mom? going vegan has been good for me, because its making me cook!
