what a lovely day! i start work at 1.30pm today, so I slept in, and woke-up to find my lounge flooded in sunshine.
I met up with Erin on Sunday for her birthday dinner. Erin was in my German classes at uni, and then one day in Seoul I ran into her randomly, it was so weird! so now we meet up every now and then. we went to a nice Italian place in Gwanghamun, where they put bacon in my pasta (after I specifically asked them not to, and after they promised me they understood me), and I had to leave early because I got massive stomach pains and thought I was going to be sick. I think it was the cream-based pasta sauce... I haven't eaten dairy products for a long long time.
I have a few things coming up soonish, on Saturday I'm going to my first Amnesty International meeting. On Sunday, Ruth, Tynessa and I are going to a Ladies Lunch, one of the events organized by the expat community in Seoul. we're not quite sure what kinds of ladies attend these things, ie older army wives, or maybe younger hip people, but it should be interesting. Plus, its being held at a delish restaurant, Marrakesh Nights, so even if the company isn't good, the food will be!
Then next Wednesday is a public holiday, thanks to elections.
Then in May I'm going to Namhae to visit Clare, Namhae is an island off the south coast of Korea, so it'll involve about 4 different buses and a ferry, but it should be great fun.
I've also reserved my Thailand tickets!
