Heather and I attempted to catch another one of the cats today, we wanted to take the cat to the vet to get fixed, but we had no luck at all. The cat was not stupid and clearly knew something was up. oh well, we did try. I spoke to Joon at the cat shelter, and she said she's happy for me to foster one of the cats from the shelter. Which one though? There are about 30, and I have to choose? eek, I don't know how I will. I want to take Star, she's only got one eye , I also want to take the two blind cats, but then I want a cat that will play with the amazingly energetic Pippi. hmm.
I also finally have a permanent place on the cat shelter roster: Friday mornings. I had been asking for ages, and was beginning to think that Joon and Allie didn't trust me, but I guess I've earned their trust now.
what else: oh yes, store attendants in Korea are like puppies following customers around. No, hang on, comparing them to puppies is too kind. They're like pesky mosquitoes. There's no concept of letting customers wander around alone. STAY ONE STEP BEHIND ALL CUSTOMERS! they must learn that at training. I don't know why they bother with foreigners, they can't speak English, so why bother. I hate being followed in a store, even if they're just trying to be helpful. In fact, its more of a reason for me NOT to shop there. Today, i played the slow-walking game, and the playing with my phone for 5 mins, and at last the dude following me left me alone.
my Thailand trip is slowly coming together, but Ken seems to have disappeared.... I'm trying plan 2 weeks at the Tsunami Volunteer Centre, and a yoga trip and some traveling around and visiting Ken and also family friends, phew, thank goodness I've got 4 weeks.
ooh, Lanter Festival next weekend! and a 3-day weekend thanks to Buddha's birthday! we had such blast last year the festival, but we had to leave early to catch the train back to Daegu. Now we live here! asa!
ooh, and I had a fantastic surprise phone-call from Ana in NZ today, we chatted for ages, I miss her so much, it was great to catch-up. Skype, y'all! its the bomb.
ahhh, my mouth is burning from the still-hot chili.
I'll end with 2 pics from last year's parade:
