yes, add "crime-fighter" to my list of skills! I was sitting in a coffee shop in Daegu yesterday, just people-watching, when I happened to see this guy walking rather closely to a young couple. and I watched in shock as his hand crept into her handbag! The woman was completely oblivious! so i ran out, and shouted at him, and he got such a fright, that he gave the purse to me! and then of course i returned it to the woman.
in other news: Ana leaves Korea tomorrow, after 3 years in Korea. =( . I will miss her SO MUCH. she made my move to Korea so much easier, and having someone here who really knows you (I've known Ana since first year uni) , someone who you don't have to explain your actions to, someone who you can call anytime of the day to chat about something meaningful or ridiculous, has been wonderful. Tynessa and I went to Daegu for the weekend for Ana's farewell, but unfortunately the rain thwarted our lake & picnic plans, so we just wandered around downtown. We caught the wonderful and amazing KTX both ways, but for the first hour of yesterday's trip back, we had to sit on the cold floor in the space between the train carriages, because of the lack of seats.
