i think i need to start taking hard drugs to stay awake at work. These split-shifts are killing me. 3 weeks after starting my new job, and the early wake-ups are not getting any easier. I feel like a have really bad jet-lag. so this afternoon's strategy is 2 cans of coke (my version of hard drugs, gosh I am so tough) and dark chocolate. someone once told me dark chocolate is the best energy booster. I'm not going to contradict that, any excuse to eat chocolate.

I was disappointed to see a Korean store advertising their "Grand Opening". They must have cottoned on to their bad grammar, its usually always "Grand Open". I miss their bad grammar!

I started a language exchange this week, with a Korean girl Mickey. On Mondays I'll teach her English, and Wednesdays she'll teach me more Korean. yay!

ps: i am leaving you with this video-look into another strange facet of Korean life: store openings! When a new store opens, it is customary to hire a big tent, and .... wait for it............ dancing girls! and not just any dancing girls, but dancing girls who look like they should be working in the red light district. Not that Korea has a red light district, that sort of thing never happens here. (heavy sarcasm) .
okay, so look at the video link, and then contrast this with the same country where strangers adjust your clothing for you on the subway when they thinks its inappropriate or risque. the video quality is terrible, but it'll give you a general idea.
Dancing Girls
ooh! here's another video! although these ladies are dressed like nuns compared to the ones I saw near Tynessa's house.
