ugh. i am so bored. it has been raining all day. I woke up at 1pm, and had to be teaching at 2.10pm, woops. luckily i can now plan a lesson in around 5 mins. I have a brand new class that are still so shy and afraid of me, that they do not utter a single word. 45 very long minutes. apparently , during the 20 min break at school between elementary and middle school classes, they all sat in their classroom without making a peep of noise the whole time. they spent the whole time just staring at their book covers. poor wee things.

then i had pizza for dinner, and now i am watching back to back episodes of Medium. bored bored bored. and since most of my apartment is packed up in boxes, i really don't have a lot to do. why is it STILL RAINING.
and Pippi is behaving like a delinquint : biting me and then running away.
its strange, the rain seems to bring out all the smells of Korea, and these smells jolt me back to my first few weeks here.
I think I may go for a walk in the rain to find iced coffee. but most of my shoes are still at Tynessa's house from last weekends 80's party prep. open shoes only --> wet feet --> fear of athletes foot.
sigh. something interesting = Facebook once again has facilitated a reunion with friends from my 1 year at Roosevelt High School in Jhb. I am now back in touch with both Kirsten and Tash, and the weird thing is that Tash married Kirsten's brother Niel! no way! to think i knew them both way back in 1996.
i don't think the rain is every going to stop. and i cant listen to the rain with the windows open because of the stupid mosquitoes. I wish I could go to sleep and wake up and it would be July 7th .
Trivia was good last night, the first section was entirely on -ism words like nihilism, anthropomorphism, and some other one that just flew out my mind. we were on fire last night! we also met three young Finnish lads who are opera singers (?!), who we're going to meet up with next weekend and go on the Daegu bus tour.
darn, everything on tv is reruns.
and still, its raining.
