I've always considered the possibility of getting laser eye surgery here, and I would like to get it done before the great NZ extravaganza in July, but it may be happening a lot sooner than I thought, due to the holidays we get at Yale. Feb 16th may be D-day. but then I started to read about it online, and got really freaked out. Not by the procedure, but by the potential for mistakes due to the good old language barrier, esp since I've had eye problems here in Korea. So I've done A LOT of research, and I'm going to go to the very well established and also the most expensive place in Daegu for a free assessment, and make sure I ask for a corneal topographic test, and then make my decision. I could also get it done in NZ when I am there, but then I miss out on the follow up appointments, unless I get those done in Korea. hmmmm
so it could be goodbye to the glasses in less than a month, if all goes to plan.
