yay, one of the puppies has found an owner. Jessie, one of the teachers at Yale's Siji branch, came around this evening and adopted one of the pups. Its new name is either going to be Naomi, Myrtle, or Beyonce. interesting. still, despite the odd name choices, its great to know the puppy is going to a great home, and to know she wont be abandoned. A family are driving down from Busan on sunday to come and meet the remaining puppy, so things are looking up.
ps: CHINA CHINA CHINA!

Hi! well its all happening now- James and I are going to be in Gwangju in Oct!...so questions...what did you wish you had taken over and didnt? and... what could you have not packed? also did you get 20 or 30 kilos limit for plane? thanks and sounds like your having a great time and yay for China!!!
hi Georgina
Yay, Gwanju, one of my friends used to teach there. In reply to your questions: i applied for the 30kg limit, but be careful, because you'll have to pay extra on your domestic flight up to auckland. I got charged over $100 for my excess baggage weight. Maybe courier up some stuff to Auckland before hand?
Stuff to take over: lots of photos from home, for your apartment and your classes, also make sure your bring plug adaptors bc you cannot get them here at all. and toothpaste and tampons here are terrible, so bring those. Are you bringing a laptop? It becomes your lifeline. um, maybe if there are some kind of unusual spices that you like, or mixes, bring those. I'm not sure how big Gwanju is, so its hard to know what you can get there. When in October are you coming over? Before or after Chuseok (3-8 oct)? How exciting!
hey Georgina,
i've just remembered a few more things, so check your email!
You must know that we don't know how to do technologically advanced things like changing settings and stuff! Hmm, will have a look, was quite impressed with being able to link to you! :) Love x
